Bjanka has recently joined the Courier Solutions team as Finance Manager. After graduating with a Commerce (Accounting) qualification, she found her fit in commercial/management accounting roles within mainly the construction industry and non-profit organisations in Tauranga and Christchurch. In Bjankas spare time she enjoys furniture DIY, food art, dancing and adventuring the world with her children.
Krystal has recently joined the Courier Solutions sales team as a sales representative. Krystal has a very astute commercial mind, along with a keen eye for financials, organisation and planning. Krystal prides herself on delivering excellent customer service, and building strong relationships. In her spare time Krystal manages her children’s sport teams, she enjoys camping in the summer, and snowboarding in the winter months with her young family.
Prior to moving to Christchurch in 2014, Kate spent 20 years in investment banking in the UK, with firms such as Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and, most recently, Deutsche Bank, where she held a variety of senior client coverage and management roles. She now works as an independent director, with current directorships or advisory board roles in the areas of infrastructure, primary industries, technology, surveying and logistics, and owns her own business, providing consulting services to privately held enterprises in the areas of succession planning, governance and strategy.
Kate is a Chartered Member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
David joined Courier Solutions in November 2017 and comes from a PA/Administration background with more than 6 years experience in Customer Service. In Davids free time, he enjoys shopping, travelling and spending time with his partner and family.
Jessica recently joined the Courier Solutions team as a Customer Service Representative. Jessica has almost 6 years’ experience in the customer service industry. Jessica is really happy working in this field because she loves interacting with people and helping them. Jessica moved to New Zealand 3 years ago. Jessica loves everything New Zealand, scenery, people and culture. Jessica is a 'horror' movie enthusiast and loves Karaoke. Jessica plans to travel to as many places as she can in New Zealand.
Mark Darrow is an experienced businessman and professional director, specialising in corporate governance.
Mark has a number of Board roles including Misterial appointments on NZTA and Counties-Manukau District Health Board and Chairs the Finance & Audit Committeee for both those organisations. He is also chairs Armstrong Motor Group, Signum Holdings, Primary ITO and The Lines Company and is a Director for MTA and Balle Brothers Group. He previously held directorships Sime Darby Automobiles NZ Limited, Charlie’s Group Limited, Motor Trade Group Investments Limited, GE Capital New Zealand Funding, the New Zealand Motor Industry Training Organisation (MITO), Dekra New Zealand, and several private interest companies.
Mark has held a number of senior executive positions including as Managing Director for Sime Darby New Zealand and Continental Car Services, General Manager of Peugeot New Zealand, Executive Director for GE Money and CEO for PGG Wrightson Finance Limited.
Mark was heavily involved in the 2011 sale of Charlie’s Group Limited to Asahi Group, the mergers of MITO with EXITO and Tranzqual, the sale of PGG Wrightson Finance Limited to Heartland New Zealand Limited, the acquisition of Water Dynamics and Aquaspec by PGG Wrightson and the sale of a majority stake in Vehicle Testing Group to Dekra SE. He has been involved in around 30 M&A transactions in the last decade.

Karen recently joined Courier Solutions in the role of Customer Services Manager. Karen brings with her approximately 20 years’ experience in the Telecommunications Industry with a background in Customer Services and Sales. Her skills include Delivery of Customer Experience Programmes, Coaching, Project Management, Operations and Continuous Improvement with various roles in Spark NZ including Operations Manager and Business Contact Centre Manager. She prides herself on delivering seamless customer experiences and is a strong believer that success is driven by great people. Her achievements include Telecom Sales Super achiever for 3 consecutive years and working on special projects resulting in seven-figure savings. Outside of work she has managed the NZ Women's National Ice Hockey team for several years taking them to world championship tournaments in Australasia and Europe. Karen also enjoys cooking and fine wine.
Madeline worked in retail for 2 years, before moving into the freight industry, where she has been happily working for nearly 4 years. Madeline has worked hard to learn as much as she can, and has literally worked in every part of the Courier side of the freight industry, even right down to how the couriers manage their runs. Madeline's first role at Courier Solutions was in Customer Services, but has recently moved to our Accounts team. Madeline's goal this year to buy her first house. Madeline has a keen interest in the rescue of sick kittens and cats and re-home them. Madeline enjoys 'Geocaching' which many people don’t know about and taking road trips around the south island with her partner and her friends.
Megan joined Courier Solutions straight from school in February 2015. Megan's first role at Courier Solutions was in Accounts, and she has now moved into a Business Support Co-ordinator role. Megan has grown to learn a lot about the logistics industry, a proven “all-rounder” in the business. Outside of work Megan breaks the accounting mould and enjoys motorbike riding. She also has a passion for hair and makeup. So much so that you can even find her getting brides and wedding parties ready to say I do!
Amy joined Courier Solutions in 2015 as a solutions provider in the customer service team. She has several years’ experience in Customer Services roles and has worked in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. She has enjoyed every minute of interacting with the customers here at CSL as well as finding out plenty of New Zealand’s hot spots to visit although her pronunciation of some places could do with a bit of work!! Amy has a degree in sport and exercise science and is a keen sports person.
Pauline being Bruce's wife and avid supporter, has always worked within the Courier Solutions business in some capacity. Pauline's attributes are her 'eye' for detail, and being able to look at the Courier Solutions business from an outside perspective on what we can do better. Pauline is very customer focused, and will be heading out to our customers in Christchurch in the coming months, ensuring that that they are happy with our service offering.
Sera has worked at Courier Solutions for 6 years now, firstly within the Customer Services team, and last year moved into a Sales Coordinator role, and back into Customer Services as our dedicated Customer Experience representative. Sera has a lot of industry knowledge and is currently working hard to support Courier Solutions sales team. When Sera is not meeting the needs of our customers, existing and new, Sera enjoys road trips around the country and a wide range of outdoor activities. She is a rugby and league fan.
Nicola has worked at Courier Solutions for over 6 years. Nicola spent 2 years living in London before her OE, before settling back to Christchurch. Nicola has 12 years approximately experience in the Mobile Phone / Electronics Servicing Industry which has given her a good insight into how to keep customers regularly informed and satisfied. Out of work Nicola spends her time running her son and daughter to their sporting/social activities.
Natalie joined Courier Solutions in 2015 as an EA to Bruce. Natalie had predominately worked at board level for large corporate organisations based in London, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Latvia and Greece for the last 26 years. Natalie's other attributes are in HR, IT Asset Management, Change Management, Project Management, Operations, Health and Safety and Continuous Improvement. Natalie is also working as a Business Support Manager, ensuring that the on-boarding of our customers is streamlined. Natalie is motivated by challenge and works best in a fast paced environment. Natalie and her husband Scott, live in Sumner, with their British Bulldogs Rocky and Rambo.
Bruce began in the freight industry in the early 1980s, first literally loading freight by hand. He rose to eventually become the company’s South Island Operations Manager, before moving on to Freightways where he became a Branch Manager. He was next appointed to Branch Manager for Freightways’ Poste Haste courier service. Bruce then moved on to PBT into a General Management role, where he set up their entire courier division. By the mid ‘90s, having heard for many years the frustrations and complaints of customers regarding the general levels of customer service within the industry, Bruce decided that a new paradigm could perform better – that not owning the fleet but instead outsourcing and strictly managing the process could bring far greater levels of service. Thus Courier Solutions was born.
Anne-Maree comes from a courier background, she’s spent the last 20 years working across the industry in customer services, administration, and accounts roles. She and her husband even owned a courier franchise! When it comes to life outside of work you can find Anne-Maree on the softball field whether it be coaching, playing or on the committee she’s into it. Family life also keeps her busy with two of her three children traipsing around New Zealand competing in Motor Cross Racing.
Alistair has been in the freight industry for a number of years. During his years working in freight Alistair has accumulated a vast knowledge base and a vast people network. Alistair has been at Courier Solutions for over 10 years, as the Customer Services Supervisor and more recently establishing a new role as our Customer Care Online Specialist, with his experience and network he is able to support the team, ensuring they provide world class service. When Alistair is not helping the team and you the customer, he is supporting his wife and two teenage children, and is an avid armchair sportsman.
